The Yorkshire Wolds is one of Yorkshire's best kept secrets, a lovely rolling landscape with spectacular valleys. Peppered with picturesque villages, market towns and grand houses if is the perfect location to explore not just the Wolds but the coast, York and the moors. David Hockney lives in East Yorkshire and paints the local landscapes.

The Barn House is lovely 5 star 4 bedroom self catering holiday cottage with two downstairs bedrooms, well suited for those with limited mobility. It can be linked to one of our 2 bedroom cottages to give a large 6 bedroom cottage. This cottage can also be let as a three or two bedroom unit on late availability.
Delightful sitting room with beamed ceiling, comfortable seating and wifi, your comfort is assured with underfloor heating throughout.
Off the living area is a large kitchen with separate dining area.
There are two ground floor bedrooms and a wet room. The bedrooms include 1 super king room which can also be configured as a twin bedded room and a smaller twin room. This downstairs bedroom wing has vaulted & beamed ceilings.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms, a king sized master bedroom with ensuite shower room and a twin with zip & link beds which can be configured as an extra king or twin beds. There is also a spacious bathroom with a bath and separate shower.
Outside there is a large private patio & garden area with garden furniture. Links to Foldyard to give a 6 bedroom cottage. The two cottages connect via two doors in the kitchen of each cottage, when not open these doors are securely locked (we hold the keys) and extra insulation is placed between to two doors. This ensures your privacy, security and peace and quiet!

We are just a mile from the village which has 3 pubs & a shop, Beverley is only 2 miles away with its many restaurants and many deliver to the door. You will never be at a loss as to what to do in the area, there are many activities and attractions and Festivals over the year. We have a section on our website with details of events/activities so please do click through and have a look. There is also a lot more information about the cottage itself including a large photo gallery, virtual tour and a floor plan. We would love to welcome you to stay at the Barn House.

Sometimes given the nickname of “God’s Own County” thanks to its lush green countryside and wild expanses of moor land, Yorkshire is the largest county in England. It is home to over 800 attractions, from breweries to museums, castles to zoos, and World Heritage Sites to breathtaking rides. There are many popular seaside resorts along its coastline, including Whitby, Bridlington and Scarborough, as well as quieter villages and working harbours nestled among the rugged cliffs. The North York Moors, the Yorkshire Dales and part of the Peak District National Park offer wonderful opportunities for walkers, cyclists and climbers, as well as nature reserves for bird spotters and naturalists. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway carries more passengers than any other heritage railway in the UK and the National Railway Museum is to be found in the county capital city, York.
